EASY Oat Milk and Oat Milk Turmeric Latte

Facetune.jpg

Oat milk is super easy to make so I feel silly for even having to write out a recipe for it but maybe there are people out there that didn’t realize just how easy it is. Now I'm a massive milk drinker like I drink the 3.5% and a lot of it but Iv been finding that the milk I buy has been selling out or I'm running out between grocery shops and right now with the way the world is I just can't justify going out just for milk. So here it is my oat milk recipe and how I make a turmeric latte out of it.

For Just the oat milk you will need

1 cup of rolled oats.

3 cups of water

3 dates (optional)

1 teaspoon of vanilla (optional)

1 Nut milk bag or Cheesecloth

For the Oat milk Turmeric Latte you will need

Prepared oat milk

½ tablespoon of Turmeric

¼ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp coconut oil (optional)

How to Make the Oat milk

1.     Put Everything in a blender and blend for 45 seconds max (anything more and the oats can become). I like my oat milk to have a sweeter taste and the dates and vanilla provide the perfect amount but they are by no means necessary.

2.    Strain mixture through nut milk bag or cheesecloth and that’s it you have oat milk.

Note:  The oat milk should keep up to 5 days in the fridge a sealed jar.

How to make the oat milk turmeric latter.

Option a-stove top

1.     Warm oat milk, turmeric, cinnamon and coconut oil in a saucepan then whisk vigorously adding air into the mixture or use electric Wisk. The coconut oil should add fat to the mixture allowing there to be a subtle froth and taste.

Option b- Nespresso

1.     Add all items to the frothier and press the button. This recipe is really easy.
