Winter Workwear Essentials
Now that the cold wet weather has truly moved in i thought it was a good time to list my most loved cold weather workwear. These items are tried and tested and i absolutely love them. I will start from hat and work down to boots. These items are not sponsored however if you choose to use the amazon link i may receive a small affiliate commission.
Hat
The Carhartt toque. This bad boy locks out the wind and wet and yet somehow is still breathable. Are the people who wear this hat construction workers, hipsters, farmers who knows. You see this hat everywhere. It is just that good. I have linked the mens hat as amazon is listing the women’s one im wearing for like 50 dollars which is way too much when you can find it from TSC for like 20.

Jacket
I wear the mens Carhartt full swing active jacket. I would have loved to try the women’s jacket but alas marks Canada is pretty disappointing in their outright lack of women’s Carhartt so because i had never tried one of the women’s jacket and i was able to try this mens one on I went with it. In saying that I could not be more happy with this jacket. It is so warm. It completely blocks the wing out but i have to say the best feature of this jacket it that it allows for full mobility. I have a-lot of jacket but the arms get so tight in range. This jacket doesn’t have that problems I can flail my arms all over the place and not feel restricted at all. The jacket also has tons of pockets which is great when it comes to holding phone. gloves ect. I have linked both the mens and women’s jacket in the same style below.

Gloves
I will keep this one short and sweet. These Carhartt gloves keep my fingers warm and at the end of the day, they fit my smaller hands and take a lot of wear and tear.

Overalls/Bib
This is my favourite piece of winter wear. Iv had this for a couple of years and it is excellent from fall to the end of spring. My bib of choice is the lined women’s Carhartt bib. I love the amount of padding in this. It has great padding in the knees, actually working pockets and it is soooo warm. I have never once felt cold in them. I typically just wear track pants or leggings under them making them even more comfortable if that’s even possible. The only concern I have is the length. Next time I would order shorter ones.

Boots
These are my only deviation from Carhartt but hey when you find a brand that makes good durable workwear that you trust you get lots of it. I actually rotate between two different brands when it comes to boots. The first is my rain/mud boots. These are the muck boot blaze. They are waterproof and durable. my hunter boots fell apart within a few months and these are holding up amazingly. I couldn’t find the exact ones that I wear on amazon but these ones are supposed to be even better for winter.

My other most loved boot is the one I love for style and practicality. It is made of nubuck leather so it is waterproof warm and durable. It is visually really flattering with its fur lining and leather boot.
